We built Tabu because WhatsApp Web is too public.

Opening WhatsApp Web in a cafe, office, airport, coworking space, or shared screen is always a privacy risk. We decided to fix that with a WhatsApp Web blur extension that feels simple, smooth, and native to the interface.

The Problem

WhatsApp Web was not designed for public screens.

WhatsApp Web is useful, but it puts private conversations on a large screen. Your inbox, chat previews, message history, contacts, and active conversations can be visible to people sitting nearby.

That is a real problem in public spaces. A quick check of WhatsApp Web at work, in a cafe, at an airport, or during a meeting can expose information you never intended to share.
